How to play

Word Search hides eight words inside a 10×10 jumble of letters. The words you need to find are listed under the grid — they can run forwards, backwards, up, down, or diagonally, in any of the eight directions. To claim a word, press on its first letter and drag across each letter in order, then release. If the letters you traced spell one of the hidden words, the tiles turn green and the word is crossed off your list. Find all eight words to finish the puzzle — the clock is running, and a fast finish means bonus points.

Controls

Mouse or touch: press and drag across the letters of a word, then release to submit. Keyboard: click or tap the grid once to focus it, then use the arrow keys to move the glowing cursor. Press Space to set your starting letter, move the cursor along the word with the arrows, and press Space again to submit. Press Escape to cancel a selection, and Enter to start the game or play again.

Tips

Scan the list first and hunt the rarest letters — a Q, X, or Z in the grid usually belongs to a word. Long words are easier to spot once you find their first two letters, so start with those. Remember that words can read backwards and diagonally, which is where most missed words are hiding. If you are stuck, the 🔀 New Puzzle button deals a completely fresh grid whenever you like.

Scoring

Each word you find earns 100 points, plus a speed bonus of up to 50 extra points if you find it quickly after the puzzle starts. Finish all eight words and you bank a completion bonus of 5 points for every second under ten minutes. Your final score and time are shown on the victory screen — see how fast you can clear the grid!
