Alternate those feet — the slowest animal alive is about to get fast!
How to play Turtle Turbo
How to play
Turtle Turbo is a delightfully silly sprint where four turtles race 120 meters across a sunny meadow and your turtle only moves when you alternate your feet. Every time you switch from left to right (or right to left), your turtle dashes forward — hammer the same side twice and you barely shuffle. Fallen logs block every lane, so hop clean over them or you'll bonk your shell, get stunned, and watch the rivals waddle past. You race against Shelly, Turbo and Zoomer, each with their own pace and a sneaky habit of speeding up when they fall behind. Cross the checkered finish line and your placement plus your speed decide your score.
Controls
- Desktop: alternate ← and → (or A and D) as fast as you can — each switch is one dash. Press ↑, W or Space to hop over logs.
- Mobile: tap the ⇐ STEP and STEP ⇒ buttons in alternation, and tap HOP before each log.
- Start / restart: press Enter or tap the Start / Race Again button.
Tips
- Rhythm beats panic. A steady left-right-left-right beat builds more speed than frantic mashing.
- Hop early — the jump lasts just over half a second, so press it a body-length before the log.
- Watch the rivals: if one pulls ahead it eases off, so a late surge can steal the win.
- Bonking a log costs nearly a full second. When in doubt, hop — even a mistimed hop is faster than a stun.
- Your dash power fades quickly, so never stop alternating, even on the home straight.
Scoring
Placement points are 100 for 1st, 60 for 2nd, 40 for 3rd and 25 for 4th, plus a speed bonus of 3 points for every second you beat the 52-second par time. Your fastest winning time is saved in this browser — chase that personal best one waddle at a time.
