How to play Taco Toss
How to play
Taco Toss is a finger-timing skill game with a fiesta flavor. A chef stands at the top of the screen, swaying his pan side to side in a steady rhythm, and a serving tray glides back and forth along the bottom โ faster with every taco you throw. You get 10 tacos per game. Tap (or press Space) to toss a taco from the pan: it arcs downward with real gravity while the wind pushes it sideways, so where you release and which way the wind blows decides where it lands. The tray is painted with three scoring rings โ land in the red bullseye for 30 points, the yellow ring for 20, the orange ring for 10, and missing the tray entirely scores nothing. Reach 130 points to be crowned Taco Master. The wind arrow in the top-left corner shows strength and direction for the current toss, and a fresh gust blows after every throw, so re-read it before each release.
Controls
- Tap / click the board (or press Space / Enter) to toss the taco from the pan.
- The pan sways on its own โ time your tap so the release point lines up with the tray.
- Watch the ๐จ wind readout: a right arrow pushes the taco right, a left arrow pushes it left.
Tips
Release slightly BEFORE the tray is under the taco โ the taco falls for about a second, so lead your target like a quarterback. Against a strong wind, release from the upwind side and let the gust carry the taco onto the bullseye. The tray speeds up as your taco count drops, so bank your points early with the slower rounds. The bullseye is worth triple an edge hit, but a safe 20-pointer beats a risky miss โ take the guaranteed ring when the timing feels off. Watch two pan swings before your first toss to learn its rhythm; the pattern never changes mid-game.
Scoring
Bullseye (red center): 30 points. Middle ring (yellow): 20 points. Outer ring (orange): 10 points. A miss scores 0. The goal is 130 points across 10 tacos โ that's an average of 13 per toss, so you need a healthy mix of ring hits. Your best score is saved on your device, and beating it earns the "New best" badge on the game-over screen.
