How to play

Snakes & Ladders is a race to square 100 against the computer. Tap the Roll Dice button and your blue token hops forward square by square. Land on a green ladder square and you climb straight up to its top; land on a red snake head and you slide all the way down to its tail. After your move the computer rolls automatically. The first token to reach square 100 wins — but you must land on 100 exactly. If your roll would overshoot it, you stay put and wait for the next turn.

Controls

Mouse or touch: tap the Roll Dice button on your turn. Keyboard: press Space or Enter to roll the dice. The dice animates, your token moves step by step, and the computer takes its turn right after. Press Enter to start the game or play again from the result screen.

Tips

The big ladders at squares 2, 9, 28, and 80 are game-changers — landing on them skips huge stretches of the board. Snake heads at 87, 95, and 98 are brutal, so brace yourself if you are climbing through the 90s. When you are close to 100, count your exact number — overshooting wastes your whole turn. There is no strategy to the dice, so enjoy the chaos and hope the snakes bite the computer instead!

Scoring

There is no point score in Snakes & Ladders — it is a pure race. Win and you are the champion of the board; lose and the computer takes the crown. The victory screen shows how many turns the game took, so try to beat your best race next time. Climbing a ladder counts as part of your turn, and sliding down a snake never costs you an extra turn.
