Fifteen tiles, one empty space, endless brain-tickling fun!
How to play Slide Puzzle
How to play
Slide Puzzle is the classic 15-puzzle: a 4×4 grid with tiles numbered 1 to 15 and one empty space. Slide the tiles until they read 1–15 in order, left to right and top to bottom, with the gap finishing in the bottom-right corner. Press "Shuffle & Start" for a guaranteed-solvable scramble — every game can be won. No timer, no move limit; only your move count matters.
Controls
Click or tap any tile next to the empty space and it slides straight into the gap. On a keyboard, the arrow keys slide a tile into the gap from that direction — the left arrow moves the tile sitting right of the gap leftward. Mouse, touchscreen, and keys all work identically, with a satisfying press animation on every move.
Tips
Solve row by row: finish the entire top row first, then the second row, and never disturb finished rows again. The classic trap is the last two tiles of a row — learn the little rotation dance that slots them into place without wrecking what is above. Keep the empty space near the tiles you are placing, and if you get stuck, undo a few moves mentally rather than panic-scrambling.
Scoring
Your score is your move count — fewer is better. Every slide into the empty space counts as one move, shown live above the board. Beat the puzzle and your best count of the session is saved next to the 🏆 trophy. Under 100 moves is skilled; under 80 is genuinely impressive. Hit "Play Again" any time for a fresh solvable shuffle.
