How to play

Skateboard Showdown is a pure timing game played over ten rounds. Each round, your skater rolls toward the ramp while a needle sweeps back and forth across the trick meter. Press Space, tap the big TRICK! button, or tap the stage the instant the needle sits inside the green sweet zone to land a clean trick worth 100 points times your combo multiplier. Stop the needle in the yellow edges and the trick lands sketchy: a flat 40 points and your combo resets to 1x. Stop it in the red and you bail — zero points, combo gone. If the skater reaches the ramp before you commit, the round counts as a bail, so never freeze! Every clean landing raises your combo by one up to a 5x multiplier, but one sketchy or red landing sends it back to 1x. The needle sweeps faster every round. After all ten, your rank is revealed: 2,500+ points makes you a Pro Skater, 1,200+ a Park Regular, anything less earns Training Wheels.

Controls

Press Space to attempt a trick — it also starts the game and restarts after game over. On touch screens, tap the big TRICK! button or tap anywhere on the stage. Mouse players can click the button or the stage itself.

Tips

Watch two full sweeps to learn the rhythm — the needle reverses at each edge, so green is easiest to hit just after a reversal. In later rounds commit early instead of waiting for perfection. A sketchy yellow still banks 40 points, which beats a bail.

• Clean trick: 100 × combo multiplier (up to 5x), combo +1
• Sketchy trick: flat 40 points, combo resets to 1x
• Bail: 0 points, combo resets to 1x
• Best-trick count tracks your clean landings out of 10
