How to play Roo Runner
How to play
Roo Runner is a speedy outback dash starring Roo, the bravest little kangaroo in the bush. Roo hops automatically toward the waterhole 300 metres away, and your job is to keep the trip trouble-free. Grey rocks tumble across the track at ground level — leap clean over them. Leafy branches hang at head height — duck low and scoot underneath. Touch even one obstacle and Roo bonks out, ending the run on the spot.
The orange progress bar above the game shows how far Roo has hopped. Reach the full 300 metres and Roo splashes into the waterhole — that is your victory. The further Roo gets, the faster the little champion runs, so the last stretch is the trickiest part of the journey.
Controls
- Space, Up arrow, or W — jump over rocks. Press a touch early rather than late.
- Down arrow or S — duck under branches for just over half a second.
- Tap the screen — tapping anywhere on the play field makes Roo jump. Great for phones.
- On-screen JUMP and DUCK buttons — big friendly buttons below the game for touch players.
- Pause button or P key — freeze the run when real life calls.
Tips
- Grey boulders always mean jump, green leafy branches always mean duck.
- Jumping can also clear low branches, but ducking is safer — a mistimed jump can land right on a branch.
- One clean tap per obstacle keeps Roo nimble for the next one; do not hold anything down.
Scoring
Your score is distance: every metre Roo covers counts, win or lose. Reaching 300 metres wins the run and unlocks the victory splash. Your longest run ever is saved on your device as your best distance — beat it one hop at a time.
