How to play
Othello Flip is the classic game of Reversi on an 8×8 board, played against a crafty computer opponent. You control the black discs and move first; the AI plays white. To make a move, place one of your discs on any highlighted square. Your new disc must trap one or more white discs in an unbroken straight line — horizontal, vertical, or diagonal — between itself and another black disc already on the board. Every trapped disc flips to black instantly. Squares you can legally play are marked with glowing dots, so you always know your options. If you have no legal move, your turn is skipped automatically. The game ends when neither player can move or the board fills up — the side with the most discs on the board wins.
Controls
Tap or click any highlighted square to place your disc — touch and mouse both work. Prefer the keyboard? Use the arrow keys to move the golden cursor and press Enter or Space to drop your disc. Hit the Restart button any time for a fresh match.
Tips
Corners are the most valuable squares on the board: a disc in a corner can never be flipped. Fight for them, and avoid playing the squares right next to an empty corner — that hands the corner straight to the AI. Edges are strong once anchored, but don't chase disc count early: leading 30–10 at move 20 often means losing 20–44 at the end. Instead, keep your options open and limit the AI's replies. Try to move last in each region of the board, and save your biggest flips for the endgame when the computer can't answer back.
Scoring
Every disc on the board counts as one point when the game ends. Finish with more discs than the AI to win; tie the count and it's a draw. The final tally is shown on the results screen — study it, then hit Play Again and try a sharper line.
