How to play Origami Fold
How to play
Origami Fold is a paper-craft puzzle game with 12 animal puzzles that grow trickier as you go. Each puzzle shows a fresh paper square on the left and a target animal silhouette on the right. Under the paper sits a row of fold-step chips — valley folds, mountain folds, petal folds, rabbit ears and more — but they are shuffled. Your job is to tap them in the exact sequence the fold needs. Every correct tap creases the paper one step closer to the animal; finish all the steps and the square magically transforms into the target shape.
Controls
- Mouse / touch: tap a fold-step chip to play it. Use the 💡 Hint button to highlight the next correct fold, or ↺ Restart fold to reset the current puzzle without losing your banked stars.
- Keyboard: tap the chips with your mouse or fingers — this one is a pure tapping game, no keys needed.
- Press Start Folding to begin and Play Again for a fresh run.
Tips
- You get 3 stars per puzzle and each wrong fold costs one. Run out of stars and the puzzle restarts, so spend a moment thinking before you tap.
- The hint button is free but needs a few seconds to recharge — save it for puzzles where you have no idea what comes next.
- Watch the crease lines on the paper: finished folds stay visible as darker creases, which helps you picture how far along the shape is.
Scoring
Each puzzle banks whatever stars you have left when you finish it, up to 3 per puzzle and 36 in total across all 12 animals. Early puzzles use 4 folds, middle ones 5, and the final four demand 6 perfect folds in a row. A flawless run — no wrong taps at all — earns the full 36 stars and the title of Origami Master. Finish all 12 puzzles to see your final tally and how your folding compares to a perfect score.
