🌕 Moth Moonlight
Your moth follows your finger — steer around the flickering decoys to the true moonlight!
How to play Moth Moonlight
How to play
Moth Moonlight is a gentle night-flight skill game with one clear goal: get your little moth to the glowing moon lamp hanging at the top of the screen. Your moth flutters wherever you point — it follows your mouse or finger with a soft, floaty glide, and a night breeze pushes it side to side so the flight never feels robotic. The danger is the porch lights scattered across the dark: they look warm and inviting, but each one is a decoy trap that snags curious moths. Their tell is the flicker — real moonlight burns steady, decoys stutter. Touch a decoy and you are trapped: the screen shudders, your moth tumbles back down to the garden fence, and you restart the climb with a few seconds of shimmering protection. Three traps and the night is over — your moth ends up stuck on a porch screen. Reach the moon lamp's glow and you win the night, with your climb percentage and best run saved.
Controls
- Mouse: move the pointer — your moth glides toward it.
- Touch: drag your finger across the night sky to steer.
- Keyboard: arrow keys or WASD also steer (handy on desktop without a mouse).
- Start / restart: click the button (or anywhere on the start card), or press Enter.
Tips
- Learn the flicker: decoys pulse and stutter, the moon lamp glows big and steady — trust the steady light.
- Decoys wear a faint red ring; give every ringed light a wide berth, not a close shave.
- Climb in short zig-zags rather than a straight line — it keeps your options open when a decoy blocks the path.
- The breeze pushes hardest near the middle of the sky; correct early with small movements.
- After a trap, use your few seconds of shimmering protection to pick a cleaner route upward.
Scoring
Your climb is shown as a percentage of the way to the moon lamp. Reaching 100% wins the night; your best climb percentage is saved in this browser. Finishing with zero traps is the true moth-master badge — see if you can thread the whole sky untouched.
