How to play

Strap in, pilot — a meteor storm is raging, and the only things worth anything out here are star shards. Your rocket drifts through the storm zone while meteors rain down from above, and they drift toward your ship, so standing still is a terrible plan. Swoop around, grab the glowing star shards as they tumble past, and dodge every flaming rock. Collect 20 star shards to clear the storm and win. Take 3 meteor hits and your ship becomes expensive space dust.

Controls

• Arrow keys or WASD steer your rocket in any direction.
• Touch or mouse: press and drag anywhere in the starfield and your ship follows.
• Press P or the pause button to freeze the storm.
• Press Launch to begin; Play Again restarts the run.

Tips

• Keep moving in small circles — meteors home in on where you are, not where you are going.
• After a hit you flicker and are briefly invulnerable; use that second to escape the crowd.
• Shards fall slower than meteors, so chase shards near the edges where fewer rocks drift.
• The storm gets denser and faster as your shard count climbs — bank your last few carefully.

Scoring

Each star shard is one point toward the 20 you need to win. Your best shard haul is saved in your browser automatically. Hits do not subtract shards, but three hits end the run instantly, so treat every meteor like it has your name on it. Finish a run with 20 shards and you have officially outflown the storm.
