🐸 Lily Pad Leap
Charge, leap, land — just don't make a splash!
How to play Lily Pad Leap
How to play
Lily Pad Leap is a game of timing, judgement, and one very determined frog. Your frog sits on a lily pad at the edge of the pond, and the only way forward is up — and over. Press and hold to charge a jump: a dotted arc previews exactly where you'll land, and a power bar shows how much spring is in the leap. Release to hop! Land on the next pad to score, then quickly charge your next jump, because every pad you land on starts sinking the moment your feet touch it. Take too long and it slips beneath the surface, taking your frog with it. Miss a pad entirely and it's splashdown. You have three splashes before the pond wins, so make every leap count.
Controls
- Hold Space (or press and hold your mouse / finger on the pond) to charge the jump.
- Release to leap — the longer you held, the farther the frog flies.
- P or Esc to pause and resume; Enter to start or restart.
Tips
Trust the dotted preview arc — it shows your true landing spot, so line it up with the middle of the target pad, not the edge. Short hops need only a tap; distant pads need a nearly full charge, which also flies higher and gives you more airtime to judge. Golden pads are worth 25 points instead of 10, so stretch for them when the arc says you can make it. The real enemy is hesitation: once you land, the pad gives you less than two seconds before it sinks, so start charging your next jump immediately. Pads shrink as your score grows, so late-game leaps demand a steadier hand.
Scoring
Every landed pad is worth 10 points, and shimmering golden pads are worth 25 points. Falling short, overshooting, or dawdling until a pad sinks all cost you one of your three lives. Your best score is saved on your device — keep hopping until the pond finally gets you.
