How to play Lawn Mower Mayhem

How to play

Lawn Mower Mayhem hands you the keys to a zippy little mower and one very overgrown lawn. Your mission is simple: mow as much grass as you can before the 75-second timer runs out. Every fresh patch you cut earns points and pushes your mowed percentage higher, and shiny coins scattered around the yard are worth a hefty bonus each. The lawn is not empty, though. Rocks hide in the grass and grumpy garden gnomes stand guard โ€” smack into either one and your mower stalls while five precious seconds melt off the clock. Plan your route, carve smooth sweeping patterns, and chase down every coin before time expires.

Controls

Keyboard: steer with the arrow keys or WASD โ€” the mower turns smoothly toward the direction you hold. Touch: press and hold anywhere on the lawn and the mower drives toward your finger, so you can carve patterns just by dragging. Lift your finger to coast to a stop. Press Enter to start the game or restart after a game over. The canvas blocks page scrolling while you play, so touch steering stays smooth on phones and tablets.

Tips

Mow in long straight strips like a real landscaper โ€” it covers ground faster and keeps you clear of the rocks you already know about. Coins are worth 50 points each, more than twenty-five mowed tiles, so detour for every coin you spot. Memorize where the rocks and gnomes sit in the first ten seconds and treat them as no-go zones. When the clock drops under fifteen seconds, stop hunting coins and sweep whatever unmowed grass is closest. Getting stunned wastes time twice over: the five-second penalty plus the stall itself, so slow down near obstacles instead of threading the needle at full speed.

Scoring

Each newly mowed tile earns 2 points, so full coverage alone is worth 384 points. Every coin collected adds 50 points to your score. Crashing into a rock or a gnome costs 10 points and, worse, five seconds off the clock plus a short stall. Your score, remaining time, mowed percentage, and coin count are always visible in the score bar, and your personal best is saved on your device so every lawn you cut has a record to beat.
