How to play Hopscotch Hero
How to play
Hopscotch Hero turns the playground classic into a game of razor-sharp timing. Your frog starts at START, and a glowing orange marker sweeps up and down the whole chalk course, bouncing top to bottom. The next square you must reach glows bright yellow — tap the board (or press Space) at the exact moment the marker lines up with it, and your frog hops there. Reach the HOME arch at the top to finish the level. Clear all 3 levels to become the Hopscotch Champion!
Controls
- Touch / mouse: tap anywhere on the board to attempt a hop.
- Keyboard: press Space (or Enter) to hop; press R to restart the run.
Tips
Don't watch the marker — watch the gap between the marker and your glowing target, and tap just before it arrives so your reaction lands dead-on. The marker is fastest near the middle of its sweep and slows at the turnarounds, so hops to the top and bottom squares are slightly easier. On levels 2 and 3 the marker gets much faster: shorten your focus to a single square height and tap in rhythm rather than chasing the marker with your eyes.
Scoring
Every successful hop scores 10 points × your level, and reaching HOME pays a 50 × level bonus. Your best total is saved on your device. Mistimed taps don't score — they cost one of your 3 lives, and losing all 3 ends the run.
