How to play Fishing Frenzy
How to play
Fishing Frenzy is a 60-second arcade fishing game. A hook carriage slides along the pier at the top of the screen while fish swim beneath the waves. Line your hook up over a fish, then hold the DROP button (or Space) to sink your line — release to reel it back in. If the hook touches a fish on the way down or up, it's hooked and comes along for the ride. Each catch banks points based on the species, plus a depth bonus: the deeper the catch, the bigger the bonus. Junk like old boots and cans can also snag your hook — reeling one in costs you 5 seconds instead of scoring.
Controls
Move the hook with the Left and Right arrow keys (or A/D). Hold Space, the Down arrow, or the DROP button to sink the line; release to reel back up. On touch screens, drag across the water to slide the hook and press-and-hold the DROP button to sink the line.
Tips
Golden koi are worth 150 points but are fast and rare — lead your drop slightly ahead of where they're heading. Slow turtles and puffers in the deep water are easy marks with fat depth bonuses stacked on top. Junk drifts near the surface, so keep your drops deep and clean when the clock is tight — 5 lost seconds is huge in a 60-second round.
Scoring
Sunny fish 10, clownfish 20, pufferfish 40, squid 60, sea turtle 80, golden koi 150. Every fish also earns a depth bonus of +2 per depth band it was caught in — deep-water turtles can outscore a shallow koi. Boots and cans: −5 seconds, no points. Your best score is saved between sessions.
