🦇 Echo Cavern
The cave is pitch black — your sonar is your only light. Ping, peek, and slip through the dark!
How to play Echo Cavern
How to play
Echo Cavern drops you — a tiny bat — into six pitch-black caves. You cannot see the walls at all. Your only tool is echolocation: press Space, tap the 📡 Ping button, or quick-tap the screen to fire a sonar pulse. A glowing ring bursts out from your bat, and every wall it touches lights up in soft blue for a few seconds before fading back into darkness. Memorize the revealed layout, then steer your bat toward the pulsing green exit beacon, which glows faintly at all times.
Controls
- Desktop: arrow keys or WASD to fly. Space fires a sonar ping. Enter starts, advances, or restarts.
- Mobile: touch and drag anywhere on the cave — your bat flies toward your finger. Quick-tap to ping, or use the 📡 Ping button. There is a short cooldown between pings, so make each one count.
- Buttons: Start, Next Cave, and Play Again all work by click or tap.
Tips
- Ping, pause, and plan — the walls stay lit for about three seconds, so study the revealed corridor before you commit.
- Flying blind is expensive: every wall bump costs one of your three hearts, and a short stun follows each hit, so slow down near tight corners.
- Fire a second ping mid-flight to refresh fading walls instead of guessing the last stretch.
- Dead ends are real — if a corridor lights up with no exit, back out early rather than burning hearts.
- The green exit glows through the dark, so you always know the general direction; pings are for the walls in between.
Scoring
Each cave pays up to 1,000 points: you lose 8 points per second and 12 points per ping, with a 100-point minimum for finishing. Fewer pings and a faster flight mean a bigger score. Clear all six caves to earn the Cave Master title — a perfect run needs sharp memory and a light ping finger.
